Lesley is a Registered Patent Agent at Chapin Intellectual Property Law, LLC, where she focuses on drafting and prosecuting patents in the areas of Software, the Internet, Business Methods, Computers, Manufacturing, Electronics and Communications Systems. Prior to joining Chapin Intellectual Property Law, LLC, Lesley gained experience in patent preparation and prosecution in software, computer and electronic technologies with two New England area patent law firms.

Lesley has sixteen years industry experience as a Software Engineer, ten years of which were focused in Manufacturing and Test Engineering. Prior to joining the field of patent law, she owned and operated a software consulting business, focusing on Internet development. Lesley has also worked in Engineering at Millipore, Polaroid, Honeywell, Stratus Computer, and EMC, and taught as a college instructor; teaching courses related to Computer Science, Information Systems, and Internet Technologies & Programming. Lesley's areas of expertise include networking, Internet development, search engine optimization, database design, software application development, test engineering, and process engineering.

Lesley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Lowell, a Masters of Science degree in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University. She is licensed to practice patent law before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She is also a member of the Boston Patent Law Association.
