Kamran Emdadi is a senior-level Patent Attorney with 17+ years of quality experience practicing patent and
intellectual property law. Kamran has a strong and unique technical background and holds an M.S. in
Telecommunications and Wireless Networks in addition to his B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Kamran was
also a U.S. Patent Examiner in the United States Patent and Trademark Office for close to 3 years.
He examined hundreds of pending patent applications in technologies related to telecommunications,
networking, broadband network systems, cellular/wireless, digital modulation, multiplexing, 3G/4G/5G,
CDMA/TDMA/FDMA, telephony, and other areas.
Prior to entering patent law, Kamran was a Systems Engineer
at Raytheon where he worked on integration and testing of airborne systems, signal processing sequence
testing, and testing of hardware for FPGA, DSP, and amplifier electronic systems. He is also a Microsoft
Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and is very technically knowledgeable about the design, integration and operation
of enterprise application software systems, databases, networked software applications and distributed systems.
Kamran has also written and prosecuted over 100 patents related to BlockChain technologies and Cryto-Currencies and
is a an expert in these and related technologies.
After working as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Kamran worked for many years
at some of the largest patent/IP law firms in the country including Harness Dickey & Pierce; Duane Morris; and Squire
Sanders & Dempsey. At these large patent law firms he handled patent drafting, patent prosecution/Office Action
response prepartion, as well as patent litigation support. Kamran now works on patent drafting
and prosecution in a multitude of technologies for clients large and small. His technical background coupled
with his Patent Examiner experience and years of large patent/IP law firm patent prosecution and litigation
experience enable him to draft high quality patent applications and to produce effective responses
that overcome complicated patent office rejections such as the 35 USC 101 "Alice"
rejection that less-experienced patent practitioners often struggle to overcome.

Kamran holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Telecommunications and Wireless Networks
from George Mason University. He obtained his Juris Doctorate in Law from the University of Baltimore.
He is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
